Removal of swirl flaps
Swirl flaps are flaps located in the vehicle's intake manifold, with which the engine control unit adjusts the length and width of the intake channels or creates a vortex when air moves into the engine to achieve better torque in the low-speed range (up to 2000RPM).
Over time, the electric motors and vacuum solenoids that move the flaps deteriorate, and the valve mechanisms become stuck. On some car brands, such as BMW, the swirl flaps are made of plastic. Over time, the plastic becomes brittle and there is a risk that the swirl flaps can break and get into the engine - this will lead to major mechanical damage to the engine and a repair bill.
In the event of a malfunction of the swirl flap system, or even as a precaution, the system can be removed both physically and software-wise.
Start & Stop removal
The Start & Stop system has become a fairly common additional feature in passenger cars, which switches off the engine for short stops, e.g. stopping at traffic lights. In most vehicles, the driver can switch off the system manually, but some vehicles do not have this option
Constant engine stop-starting exhausts the vehicle's battery, starter and generator, as well as the engine itself.
We offer complete switching off of the Start & Stop system from the engine control unit software.
Pops and Bangs, Burble
For racing vehicles, we offer Pops and Bangs and Burble tuning - after acceleration, when the gas pedal is released, loud bangs and flames or crackles start to come from the vehicle's exhaust system.
We adjust how aggressive the Pops and Bangs tuning is according to the customer's wishes.
A fairly free exhaust system and definitely removal of catalytic converters are required.
Lambda, O2 removal
We can disable O2 or lambda sensors from the software of the engine control unit of racing vehicles. In most vehicles, if the lambda sensor fails or is missing, the engine light will come on, and in some models the engine may go into emergency mode, where the power is reduced.
Vmax off - speed limiter removed
Some vehicles have a factory-set maximum speed limit in their ECUs. No matter how much you press the accelerator pedal, the vehicle's speed will not increase. This is mainly the case with vans and heavy-duty equipment.
We offer the option to completely disable the speed limiter in the vehicle's ECU or to set it to a higher/lower speed.
Hardcut limiter - Popcorn limiter
We offer adding a hardcut(popcorn) limiter to the engine control unit software for diesel and gasoline vehicles, which makes the vehicle's exhaust sound more aggressive at the rev limiter.
We offer adding both a softer and a very aggressive limiter - as the customer wishes.
A fairly free exhaust system and certainly removal of the catalytic converters/particulate filter are required.
Removal of gasoline engine particulate filter - GPF / PPF / OPF
Modern petrol vehicles, like diesel vehicles, have a particulate filter.
On petrol vehicles it is called a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter), PPF (Petrol Particulate Filter) or OPF (Otto Particulate Filter).
We offer a solution to GPF/PPF/OPF problems - complete removal of the system from the engine control unit's software.
